The first Spanish edition of the exhaustive history of Spanish involvement in the Peninsular War by politician, Don Jose Maria Queipo de Llano y Ruiz de Saravia, 7th Count of Toreno (1786-1843). Written over nine years beginning in 1823, Toreno's comprehensive study is one of the earliest accounts of the war by a Spaniard, and moreover one who held prominent roles during that time, serving both during the first occupation of Asturias by the French, and later as a member of the Cortes Generales.£ 400.00 Antiquates Ref: 11456
