A scarce satirical poem on eighteenth century mannerisms, associating Ancient Greek mythical allegories to events and persons of the day, by Royal Navy officer and sometime author Edward Thompson (c.1738-1786). 'Part the Second' was issued separately the same year. ESTC records only nine copies worldwide; four in the British Isles (two at BL, and one at NLS and NLW respectively), and five in North America (two at Harvard, one at Texas, and two at Yale).
