A french translation of selected letters by Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots (1542-1587), more specifically, a collection of Mary’s letters that were preserved in Russia. Originally part of a seven-volume publication by Russian Prince Alexander Y. Lobanov-Rostovsky (1788-1866), a fervent devotee of the dead queen who would travel to many European countries collecting manuscripts, portraits, and rare books in her name.
