Handsomely bound in contemporary polished red calf, tooled in gilt and blind, marbled edges. Lightly rubbed, slight surface loss to spine, with paper private library shelf-label to foot. Marbled endpapers, armorial bookplate of Sir Robert Peel to FEP, armorial bookplate of Sir Mervyn Lloyd Peel to FFEP, ink inscription to head of title-page, lightly foxed.

an authoritative and expansive history the county of Cardigan, Wales. This copy was once in the library of British Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850) and his descendants.
