The theatrical comedies of North African playwright of the Roman Republic Publius Terentius Afer (c.195/185-c.159 BCE). First printed in 1470, the works of Terence were immensely popular during the Renaissance revival of classical literature. This edition contains all six of Terence's plays: Adelphoe (The Brothers), Andria (The Girl from Andros), Eunuchus, Heauton Timorumenos (The Self-Tormentor), Hecyra (The Mother-in-Law), and Phormio.
