A Basil printed edition of the complete works of Alexander Pope, with notes by poet and literary critic Joseph Warton (bap. 1722, d. 1800) - author of the seminal account of the author, An essay on the genius and writings of Pope (London, 1756). A continental printing of the 1797 London edition printed for B. Law; the title is a verbatim reprint, and whilst the London edition did indeed include illustrations no copy we have found of this Basil printing does.
