A rare survival of the sole edition of a monograph on chemical experimentation by Cheltenham based apothecary and chemist Daniel Gibbon, of whom little is known. Gibbon provides methods for examining mineral waters and detecting the presence of poisonous substances; notes on chemical properties and reactions; and a glossary of terms and a comparative list of changes in nomenclature - the whole designed for the use of young students of the science.
