B[ELSON], J[ohn]. Tradidi Vobis: or the Traditionary Conveyance of faith Cleer'd, In the Rational Way, Against The Exceptions of a Learned Opponent.

London. [s.n.], 1662. First edition.
12mo. [8], 108, 97-312pp. Gathering 'K' duplicated. Recent calf, lettered in gilt. Very slight rubbing to extremities. Paper repairs to small worm-trail running through title page to end of gathering 'C' - touching text on occasion without loss of sense.
The first edition of historian and religious controversialist John Belson's (c.1625-1704) detailed exegesis and defence of the Dialogues of William Rushworth (edited and partly written by Thomas White) making it one of the many contributions to the contemporary controversy about the authority of the scriptures versus the authority of the church.
