The memoirs of novelist and politician Jean-Baptiste Louvet de Couvray's (1760-1797) which document the trials and tribulations suffered between his fleeing Paris following the downfall of the Girondists and his eventual return after the fall of Robespierre. Numerous editions of varying length and format appeared throughout 1794-95; this edition of 296pp is not recorded by ESTC, though COPAC does locate a single copy held at Oxford.
