Extremities worn and marked, some surface loss, splitting to joints, naive inked illustration to upper board, corners bumped. Pen-trials and illustrations to front endpapers, occasional light spotting.
The first London edition of lexicographer and master at Macclesfield Grammar School, John Charles Tarver's (1790-1851) comprehensive dictionary of French verbs. The work was originally published at Macclesfield in 1818; a second London edition appeared in 1829.
