8vo. [45], 10-396pp. Contemporary gilt-tooled panelled black morocco, contrasting red morocco lettering-piece. Heavily rubbed, slight splitting to joints, spine sunned with loss to head, corners bumped. Marbled endpapers, leaves browned and foxed, very small burn-hole to text of leaf T5 - without loss of sense.
The sole edition of Church of Scotland clergyman Charles Lambe's (b. 1679) collected sermons preached before the London parishes of St. Katherine Cree and All Hallows Barking, many of which delivered at the time of the Jacobite Rising of 1715.
