Marbled endpapers, armorial bookplate of Alexander Sim and recent book-label of J. O. Edwards to FEP, near contemporary inked ownership inscription to front blank fly-leaf, scattered spotting.
The first edition of Dartmoor, a book of poetry incorporating the scenery and traditions of Devon. Nicholas Toms Carrington, also known as Noel Thomas (1777-1830), a member of The Plymouth Institution, would also publish The Banks of the Tamar (1820), another collection of Devon-inspired verse.
