A handsomely bound copy of the collected poetical works of Samuel Rogers (1763-1855), which includes 'The Pleasures of Memory', the discursive poem first printed in 1792 from which he made his name. Upon the death of Wordsworth, Rogers was offered, but declined, the position of Poet Laureate.
