The sole edition of Methodist preacher Thomas Wills's (1740-1802) first published work, a polemic denouncing the licentious principles advocated by Church of England clergyman Martin Madan (1725-1790) in his controversial treatise Thelyphthora (1780), which argued for the for the social benefits of polygamy.
