The flower basket.

An unsophisticated copy of the sole edition of an anonymous original early nineteenth-century juvenile fantasy work. The book, 'composed solely at the request, and for the amusement of, the children of a friend' is by the author's own admission a departure from the usual acceptable fare, indeed they state that anything 'in the shape of a Fairy Tale' would not have otherwise entered their head in 'this enlightened age, when such productions have long been banished from all juvenile libraries'; though they nonetheless hope that it may 'find admittance into the literary collections of the youthful members of society; and, though conscious that it will add nothing to their store of information, I flatter myself it will not diminish the correctness of their principles'.£ 350.00 Antiquates Ref: 21135
