Ink-stamp of the Officers Mess Library R.A.F. Catfoss to title page alongside pasted down manuscript receipt recording the sale of the book to Reginald Sims, with inked ownership inscription of Sims to recto of FFEP.
The first edition of the first published work of Joan Grant (1907-1989), an historical novel and pseudo-autobiography set in ancient Egypt during the First Dynasty. The author attributed the source of her information on the era to her extrasensory abilities and capacity for recalling her own past lives.

This copy once belonged to R.A.F. Wing Commander Reginald G. Sims, a friend of T. E. Lawrence. The pair had met in Iraq and bonded over a shared love of photography.
