The Great Bastard, protector of the little one. Done out of French. And for which a proclamation, with a Reward of Five Thousand Louis D'Ors, to Discover the Author, was Published.
London. [s.n.], 1702.
Quarto. 8pp. Disbound. Lightly dust-soiled.
A sensationalist pamphlet labelling Louis XIV, supporter of James Francis Edward Stuart (1688-1766), 'The Old Pretender', a bastard and calling into question the legitimacy of both. Despite claiming to be a translation it is in fact an original English work, first published in Cologne, i.e. London, in 1689.
