A rare survival of the sole edition of a visitation sermon preached before the clergy of the diocese of Chichester by Bishop of the city John Buckner (1734-1824) in his second year in that position. His charge contains pastoral advice and admonition relative to the necessary qualifications for, and the proper discharge of, the peculiar duties the clerical office.
