With a loosely inserted note-card addressed to Lord Crewe, signed by the author, expressing the hope that the recipient will enjoy the work.
The first edition of a collection of, predominantly war-themed, poetry by John Drinkwater (1882-1937). Drinkwater had published 19 of 34 poems earlier in 1917 under the same title with the Beaumont Press.
