The sole edition of antiquary Joseph Hunter's (1783-1761) dictionary of the regional dialect of the Sheffield area. Hunter's reputation as a scholar had been established with the publication in 1819 of his history of the region Hallamshire: the History and Topography of the Parish of Sheffield.
