A handsome copy of Bishop of Ripon and sometime fellow of Hertford College, Oxford, Edward Arthur Burroughs' (1882-1934) exhortation to the youth of Britain to recover the spiritual ideals with which the nation had entered the First World War. Motivated by the loss of friends and former pupils in the first year of the conflict, the work is dedicated to the masters and boys of Eton, Uppingham, Wellington, and Weymouth, with a foreword provided by the Vice-Provost of Eton College Francis Hay Rawlins.
