Victoria Rooms. Mr. H. C. Cooper's annual concert...
Bristol.
Hugh C. Evans, [1847].
Dimensions 140 x 230 mm.
Single sheet, printed on one side only. A trifle creased, mounted on later stiff paper.
An apparently unrecorded handbill announcing alterations and additions to the line-up of a concert held annually at the Victoria Rooms, Bristol. The organiser, H. C. Cooper, regretfully states that operatic contralto Emma Albertazzi (1815-1847) will be unable to perform due to 'severe illness' - likely the 'rapid consumption' which led to her death on 25th September. The programme for the evening included performances of compositions by Beethoven, Verdi, and Mozart.
