A catalogue of artworks held by the Bodleian gallery, compiled and published by janitor to the library John Norris (1807-1877).

The catalogue is arranged alphabetically by subject, with a succinct biography provided for each and, where applicable, notes on the creation of the artwork, and, when known, the name of the artist.

The first edition, with 'Printed for the Janitor' in the imprint, appeared in 1846.
