In all the sale realised (with the prints, pictures, and porcelain) a total of £15,865, of which the books accounted for over £14,000. The sixth day, allocated to his editions of Shakespeare, commanded great interest. Daniel's First Folio (purchased by him for £100) sold to the Baroness Burdett-Coutts for £716 2s.
