[ACTS - WILLIAM IV]. An Act to render valid certain Marriages solemnized in the Church of Saint Clement, Oxford. [17th August 1836].

[London]. [Printed by George Eyre], [1836].
[985]-986pp. Single leaf, printed on both sides. Disbound, a trifle creased.
St Clement's was the first church in Oxford to be built on a new site since the Middle Ages. One unforeseen consequence of the new location was that it did not automatically become the parish church when it was consecrated in 1829. Unfortunately, this was not realised at the time necessitating the present Act of Parliament in 1836 to ensure the legality of all the marriages that had taken place there.
