The first edition of the first of Cistercian historian Chrysostomus Hanthaler's (1690-1754) introductory manuals on numismatics, presented in the form of twenty-two dialogues, intended for the instruction amateur collectors in the fundamentals of the subject.

Hanthaler issued a further five parts, each published separately, the final appearing in 1751.
