The fourth located copy of a sermon, on I John iv. 7, preached by Robert Potter (1721-1804), vicar of Lowestoft and Kessingland, and prebendary of Norwich, on a day of thanksgiving on account of the restoration of peace following the signing of the Treaty of Amiens that (albeit temporarily) ended hostilities between Britain and France in the War of the Second Coalition, and marked the end of the French Revolutionary Wars.
