SEAT OF WAR ADVERTISER. The baltic sea: With the surrounding Countries as far as London, Paris, Vienna, Moscow, &c.; showing the principal Railways, Roads, Naval Arsenals, Fortresses, Forts, &c., and Napoleon's Route to Moscow in 1812.

London. Published by Deutsch, Brothers, 1854.
Dimensions (folded) 90 x 140mm: (unfolded) 420 x 280 mm. Original publisher's printed tan wrappers. Extremities a trifle creased and dusty, lower panel torn. Short closed tear to foot of map.
An apparently unrecorded map of the Baltic Sea and surrounding countries, likely issued due to increased public interest in the region following the outbreak of the Crimean War in 1853. Curiously, along with 'the principal Railways, Roads, Naval Arsenals, Fortresses, Forst, &c. ', the route taken by Napoleon’s Grande Armée during the French invasion of Russia in 1812 is additionally mapped -presumably to further heighten the militaristic bent of publication.
