A remarkable copy of an early French edition, bound - by person or persons frustratingly unknown - with elaborate embossed morocco designs, of Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen's (1861-1930) account of the Fram expedition of 1893-1896; an attempt to reach the geographical North Pole by harnessing the natural east-west current of the Arctic Ocean.
