An anthology of fifteenth-century Spanish poetry, edited by philologist, translator, and literary editor Pedro Estala (1757- 1815), under the pseudonym of Ramón Fernández, originally published as volumes XVI and XVII in his Colección de poetas españoles series. Estala's monumental compilation consisted of total of twenty volumes published between 1786 and 1798. This edition of these two, self-contained volumes, is that expanded upon by poet Manuel José Quintana (1772-1857), to which he adds his own commentary on the works contained within.
