The sole edition of a travelogue incorporating a history of Iceland and the Faröe isles, appended by specimens of Icelandic poetry, Icelandic folk tales translated by philologist and sometime provost of Reykjavík cathedral Ólafur Pálsson (1814-1876), and 'information for intending tourists'.
