Ramsden lists Thurnam, binder and circulating library proprietor of Carlisle, active between 1829 and 1840; however, a later label recorded by Spawn and Kinsella suggests he remained operative until at least 1845.

Provenance: Mary Frances Keble Coleridge (1824-1898), daughter of John Taylor Coleridge (1790-1876), great-niece of poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834).
