The second located copy, in original unsophisticated state, of an account of proceedings of a dinner given at the Exchange Hall, Nottingham, for the benefit of Irish nationalist leader Daniel O'Connell (1775-1847); one of a series of mass meetings conducted by 'the Liberator' in northern England and Scotland in an effort to rally support for reformation of the House of Lords, who, in spite of (or indeed, due to) O'Connell's success in securing Catholic emancipation, continued to frustrate his attempts to introduce legislation concerning tithes, municipal government, and the relief of Ireland's poor.
