Later manuscript notes to front endpapers, light damp-staining to initial gathering, scattered spotting.
A reissue of the first edition (published in the same year) of Church of England clergyman Josiah Woodward's (1660-1712) history of the Society for the Reformation of Manners, founded in 1691 with the aim of suppressing profanity, immorality, and other lewd activities in general, and brothels and prostitution in particular.
