The first trade edition (a limited edition for private distribution had been printed in 1822) of a selection of verse by journalist and poet Alaric Alexander Watts (1797-1864). These poems, conventionally Romantic in content and form, have long been forgotten, but Lamb and Wordsworth, among others, appear to have admired them.
