A collection of poetry and philosophical musings composed by Friedrich II of Prussia whilst summering at the palace San-Souci, Potsdam. First published for private circulation in 1752, in 1760 several unauthorised editions of the book appeared. In response, Friedrich II published a self-edited version in the same year under the title Poesies Diverse.
