The Devil's Walk is a collaboration between Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) and Robert Southey (1774-1843). The Devil's Walk was originally published as 'The Devil's Thoughts' in 1799 and then revised in early 1827 by Southey, telling the story of Satan 'walking leisurely into London' and undertaking discourse with folk of all professions and classes. Features illustrations by Robert Cruikshank (1789-1856,), brother of fellow caricaturist George Cruikshank, which depict the devil in his travels.
