Minor bumping to corners, spine a little sunned, internally bright save a little toning to edges. One of eighty printed on Japanese vellum, of which this is no 33. With the signatures of the author, illustrator Randolph Schwabe, and publisher Cyril William Beaumont. A further 310 copies were printed on hand-made paper, numbered 81-390.
A scarce limited edition of Edmund Blunden's (1896-1974) thirteenth collection of poems, signed by author, illustrator, and publisher.

Blunden had a fruitful career as a poet, publishing over thirty collections of poetry over a span of fifty-three years. He was awarded several international honours, including six separate Nobel Prize nominations. Blunden won the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry on the Western Front during the First World War, and his name rests among the Great War slate in Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey.
