HANBURY WILLIAMS, Sir Charles. The odes of Sir Charles Hanbury Williams, Knight of Bath.

London. Printed for S. Vandenbergh, 1775. First edition.
8vo. [4], 132pp, [2]. Contemporary gilt-tooled red half-morocco, marbled endpapers. Rubbed, wear to head and foot of spine, upper joint split. Armorial bookplate of George William Leeds and recent book-label of J. O. Edwards to FEP, scattered spotting.
A selection of the licentious poems of writer and diplomatist Sir Charles Hanbury-Williams (1708-1759), which is actuality not much more than a somewhat enlarged reprint of A collection of poems, principally consisting of the most celebrated pieces of Sir Charles Hanbury Williams, knight of the Bath (London, 1763).

Editorship has been attributed to antiquary Joseph Ritson (1752-1803), whose labours, according to his biographer Joseph Hazlewood, did not extend beyond collating the proof sheets - not doubt at least in part due to his distaste for facetious poetry.
