An extensive catalogue of early nineteenth century publications, a comprehensive list with notes on book formats and prices, including works by Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley.

William Bent (1747-1823), pioneered modern book-trade bibliography, compiling the first London Catalogue in 1773. Originally, Bent did not provide publishers names, but did organise his catalogues so that one could locate those books in print an author had written, or who had written on specific subjects.

William St Clair (1937-2021), British scholar and senior civil servant, notable as the author of The Godwins and the Shelleys, The Biography of a Family (1989) and The Reading Nation in the Romantic Period (2004).
