An apparently unrecorded advertisement for William Bain & Company's patented 'Corrimony Fence', a system of wire fencing intended for the enclose of horses, cattle, sheep, or deer. The system was developed by Thomas Ogilvy (1796-1877) at his estate in Corrimony, Inverness-shire, based upon a similar manner of fencing employed in New Zealand. William Bain & Company was founded in 1859, establishing the Lochrin Iron Works at Tollcross, Edinburgh.
