GIBB, Sir Alexander. Gwalior state. Proposed railway extensions.

Bombay. Sir Alexander Gibb and Partners, [1927]. First edition.
Folio. [1], 6ff. Letterpress title page and six leaves of typescript. With a large coloured folding map. Original publisher's black cloth-backed printed buff wrappers. Rubbed and marked, coloured pencil shelf-mark to upper board. Occasional coloured pencil annotation to text. Terminal leaf signed in initials Gibb.
An apparently unrecorded report compiled by chartered civil engineer Sir Alexander Gibb (1872-1954), regarding proposed railway developments in Gwalior State.

The proposals would see the established narrow-gauge light railway extended both north and south and linked with metre gauge lines in the region and allow for an increase in traffic facilities in the existing sections of the Gwalior-Sipri and Gwalior-Bhind lines. It would appear that the works were never carried out.
