The first edition of English General Baptist missionary Amos Sutton's (1802- 1854) remarks on the origins and development of the mission at Orissa (Odisha). Compiled from his own diaries and correspondence, the book records Sutton's missionary labours and his observations on the manners and customs of the Indian populace. The introduction to the work was composed en route to America where Sutton would spend the best part of two years eliciting support for the mission.
