The sole edition of the complete proceedings of the trial against Indian Muslim freedom activist Muhammad Ali Jauhar Khan (1878-1931) and others in the Sessions Court of Karachi. In 1921, Jauhar formed a coalition of sympathetic nationalist leaders - including Mahatma Gandhi - who in turn enlisted the support of the Indian National Congress and Hindu population to join with Muslim civilians in a demonstration of unity against the British government rule. A plethora of protests erupted throughout the country. Following a speech delivered at a meeting of the Khilafat Conference, Jauhar was arrested on charges of sedition, tried, and imprisoned for two years.
