A first edition of Frances Sheridan's (1724-1776) comedy 'The Discovery', which premiered at the Drury Lane theatre on the fifth of February, 1763, with Sheridan's husband Thomas in the lead role. It would later be subject to a controversial rewrite by Aldous Huxley in 1924.
