The first edition of a volume on Shakespeare, with words on French writers including Voltaire and Corneille. Attributed by many to one Edward Taylor (c.1741-1797), but also to classicist William Richardson (1743-1814), and even renowned antiquarian Joseph Ritson (1752-1803).
