The first edition of this illustrated annual covering British scenery about the Wye, from Anglo-Australian writer, illustrator and photographer Louisa Anne Meredith (1812-1895), who also went by Louisa Anne Twamley. Published in 1839, the same year Meredith would sail for New South Wales with her husband, and shift focus to the Australian landscapes for which she would become more recognised.
