The first English edition of these collected writings by Felice Orsini (1819-1858), Italian revolutionary and leader of the Carbonari who tried to assassinate Emperor Napoleon III. Renowned and admired in England for his daring tales of escaping prison in Mantua, a mere year after this work's publication Orsini would be sent to the guillotine.
