The first edition of Edward John Trelawny's (1792-1881) popular biographical memoir of Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron. An intimate companion of both poets, Trewlany provides insightful details regarding the lives of the Romantics in Europe - indeed it was he who organised Shelley's cremation. He subsequently rewrote the work, publishing in 1878 under the title of Records of Shelley, Byron, and the Author.
