A ballad book from Scottish antiquary and artist Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe (1781?–1851), who had previously contributed to the second volume of Walter Scott's Border Minstrelsy. The original issue of this ballad book was limited to thirty copies, likely to add to its value by limitation, but potentially also due to the author's feeling that the contents were not suited for public audiences. It would later be privately reprinted, restricted still to only a further 155 copies.
